For well over a century, we have been experts in high-quality micrometers and lead screw precise measuring and positioning. Founded in 1920 by the brothers Adolf and Franz Hartig to manufacture micrometers, the company underwent a decisive change from 1958 under the management of Ernst Hartig: In cooperation with machine tool and microscope manufacturers, we developed our first own micrometer heads. With the emergence of the laser and photonics industry, we expanded our portfolio to include fine adjusters, lead screws and precision assemblies.

Since 2023, Stephan-Leander Klein and Dr. Jakob Hartig, both great-grandsons of the founder, have been managing the company in the fourth generation. With a team of 30 employees, we continue to produce in Germany. We are leaders in the manufacture of positioning units and micrometers and guarantee the highest quality. All production steps such as turning, hardening, grinding and assembly are carried out in-house by experienced specialists in order to be able to respond flexibly to individual customer requirements.
